Defensive Position (Flex)

Definition: A defensive player who is listed on the lineup card but does not bat. This player usually fields for the Designated Hitter (DH). Rule/Context Note: While common in fastpitch, the concept of a defensive-only player is less frequent in Slo-Pitch but may be used in specialized tournament formats or specific league rules concerning gender balance.
